I’m thinking about using a Moonlighter, but how can I be sure the one I choose is qualified?
Moonlighters are encouraged to list all qualifications and experience etc on their profile in order that customers can make an informed decision. We recognise that this is no guarantee and encourage customers to give feedback about any Moonlighters service they have received to enable us to post that feedback on the individual Moonlighter’s details and enhance the selection process. Any negative feedback will be investigated and if necessary, the services of that particular Moonlighter removed.

What guarantees do I have for any work done?
We at Moonlighters accept no liability nor offer any guarantee for services offered by any individual Moonlighter. It is your own responsibility to ensure that the Moonlighter you choose is suitably covered and able to offer guarantees. We would recommend you do this at the outset before employing the services offered.

Moonlighter Questions

Can I register without using a credit/ debit card?
Yes. If you send an email to info@findamoonlighter.co.uk we will email you a form to fill in. Fill in your details and send to the address on the form together with your payment. When your payment has been cleared we will email you with your membership details.

How can I be sure my employer won’t find out about my moonlighting?
You can’t, but if you follow our guidance notes on what to include on your searchable details, the risk is minimised.

Do I have to take out liability insurance to register?
No, but we strongly recommend you do so as soon as possible. This gives both you and your customer added security when things go wrong.

Am I guaranteed to get work using this site?
No, but the more detailed information about your services / prices/ guarantees etc that you include on your search results; the more customers will be interested in you. As and when you do get customers, encourage them to write feedback, this will further enhance your search results and other customers are more likely to choose your services over those with no feedback.

What happens after my initial subscription has expired?
You will be notified by email prior to expiry of your subscription, inviting you to renew for a further period. In cases where you have selected automatic renewal, you will be notified of the date on which your subscription will be debited.

Can I cancel my subscription?
You may cancel your subscription for inclusion in the Moonlighters database at any time by email to info@findamoonlighter.co.uk. For security purposes, you will be sent an email asking for verification and answers to security questions you supplied on initial registration. No refunds will be made.
